Teaching methods

The LZPointsPermis course doesn't look like a traditional lecture. Our trainers use active, participative methods designed to make the lessons stick:

🎯
Interactive quizzes
Real-time knowledge checks on tablet or paper throughout the two days.
🎬
Real-world footage
Dashcam clips, accident reconstructions, and testimonials from victims and drivers.
💬
Group discussion
Guided conversations on how we think about speed, alcohol and phone use behind the wheel.
🔬
Hands-on simulations
Drunk-vision goggles, braking-distance calculations, reaction-time tests.
📋
Case studies
Real accident scenarios analysed to spot avoidable risk-taking.
🤝
A personal commitment
Every participant leaves with a written, concrete commitment to change one driving habit.

Our trainers

All our trainers are approved by the French Ministry of the Interior and hold specific qualifications in road safety education. Their approval is renewed regularly and their work is checked by the local Prefecture.

Our teams bring together complementary backgrounds — former driving instructors, psychologists specialising in driving behaviour, and experts in French traffic law — which makes for a richer, more grounded two days.

The certificate of attendance

At the end of the two days, every participant who completed the full course receives an official certificate of attendance. We transmit this to the Ministry of the Interior within 24 working hours, and your points balance is updated in the national driving licence file (Fichier National des Permis de Conduire).

  • Points appear — your updated balance is visible on the official government portal the working day after the course ends.
  • Full attendance required — you must attend both days in full. Any lateness or absence, even partial, invalidates the course and no points will be credited.
  • Keep your certificate — it's your proof of attendance if any administrative question ever comes up.

What the course does NOT include

To avoid any confusion, here's what is not part of the course:

  • No driving on track or on the road — the course is entirely classroom-based
  • No written exam — there's no graded test and no risk of "failing" the course itself
  • No erasing of past offences — previous point deductions stay on your record
  • No lifting of a licence suspension or cancellation
